THE GAME LOOP
A small idea worth finishing.
A lantern that brightens while held: it reveals hidden charms and lights rune shrines, but burns oil fast and draws the shades from farther
Slow shades with readable sight cones (looping wisps, sweeping watchers, pacing prowlers); bushes, shrine light and tree trunks hide you
A light riddle in every wood (runes lit in a carved order, posts turned to carry a beam), shrine checkpoints, oil flasks and lantern upgrades
THE LOOK & FEEL
A world with its own personality.
A hooded keeper with a glowing fox-head lantern; ghostly shades with pale eyes and a cool rim light, soft-spooky and never gory or sudden
Instanced low-poly pines, oaks and birches over a painted forest floor, with trails edged by glowing mushrooms so the way stays readable
Warm islands of light (lantern, shrines, beams) against a night palette and fog for each wood: moss teal, fen blue and ember amber
MADE FOR THUMBS
Plan the phone experience first.
Virtual stick bottom-left; a big hold-to-brighten Lantern button and an Action button bottom-right, 48px+ in safe areas; the trail ahead stays clear.
The playbook requests H5 layouts and input. Real-device playtesting is still part of the build.

DONE MEANS PLAYABLE
The checks this game should pass.
✓Every charm, flask, shrine, rune stone, post and gate is reachable on foot, and the trails stay clear of trees.
✓A hidden charm cannot be taken until a bright lantern reveals it; low light never reveals it, however long you stand there.
✓A bush with the lantern low, a kindled shrine and a trunk in the line of sight each keep a watching shade from catching you.
✓An input-only bot finishes both difficulties; careless play loses on a Wild night and idling loses when the oil and tries run out.
These are requirements for your future build, not results already verified for this prompt.

What shaped this playbook.
Original SiGameGen prompts authored in our local Claude Code subscription session. References inform the design; their code, assets and prompts are not bundled. External model attribution is creator-reported.
Creator documents procedural woodland geometry, synthesized atmosphere and separate keyboard/touch controls. Our original complete Three.js adventure has three night woods, nine charms, distinct light riddles, watchful shades, shrine checkpoints and lantern upgrades. Its cover uses the normal gameplay camera; sound is opt-in.
